The Whaley House was built in 1984 by Whaley & Shirley Hughes and has remained in the same family for all these years. It was built originally as the permanent home of  Whaley & Shirley who often entertained their 6 adult children, spouses and 18 grandchildren dropping in at all times of the year. It has always been and will always be a fabulous spot for large families or groups wanting to enjoy an incredible week experiencing all the fun of the sun and sand on the Gulf of Mexico. This spectacular Gulf beachfront property on the east end of St George Island offers amenities galore. Your own private resort with panoramic views of the Gulf of Mexico. There is a walking/bike path along Gulf Beach Drive to enjoy miles of exercise. Lovely St George Island State Park is only one mile to the east with St George Island Lighthouse only 3 miles to our west at the center of the island. Apalachicola is just across the bridge on the mainland.
